“I believe the best journeys are the ones that stay with you long after you return home.”

I founded Fairy Tale India in 2009, driven by a simple love for travel and a desire to show people a side of India they might not discover on their own.

Two Perspectives

Seeing India through
two different eyes.

India, from the inside

Over more than two decades in inbound travel, I have travelled extensively across India and to more than 50 countries.

Travelling the world has taught me to understand destinations through the eyes of a traveller — what makes a journey comfortable, meaningful, surprising and memorable.

Travelling through my own country has given me the other perspective:

India from the inside.

I have travelled roads, met people, explored regions and discovered some of the most beautiful experiences in India that are often found beyond the places everyone already knows.

Two perspectives. One purpose.

Understanding India from within, while seeing it through the eyes of the traveller.

I bring these two perspectives together when creating journeys for our guests.

Connecting India withthe world.

Kamlendra Singh Ranawat speaking with international travellers

Over more than two decades in inbound travel, I have had the privilege of meeting travellers from across the world and understanding what brings them to India.

I have spoken to groups of 200–300 international travellers, listened to their questions and learnt what makes India exciting, unfamiliar, comfortable and meaningful from their perspective.

Understanding the traveller changes the way you understand the destination.

That perspective has stayed with me throughout my journey with Fairy Tale India and continues to shape how I think about every experience we create.

Beyond India

Travel experiences beyond India

Travelling to more than 50 countries has given me the opportunity to experience different cultures, hospitality traditions and ways of discovering a destination.

Those experiences have influenced the way I think about comfort, service, pacing and the small details that can turn a good journey into an exceptional one.

Travel has always been
about people for me.

I listen to what our guests are curious about, what excites them and how they want to travel. Then I use my knowledge, experience and relationships across India to create something personal.

Over the years, travel has also introduced me to people and relationships far beyond the journeys themselves.

One of those relationships led to the opportunity to introduce a German friend to the Dalai Lama — a moment that reminded me how travel can connect people, cultures and worlds in unexpected ways.

Relationships create possibilities.

And sometimes those possibilities become part of a journey that could never have been planned on an itinerary.

Luxury is knowingwhat matters.

Luxury is not simply a beautiful hotel or a perfectly planned itinerary.

It is having someone who knows the country, understands you, and cares about the details.

It is knowing when to follow the plan — and when to leave it behind.

And ultimately, it is creating a journey that feels uniquely yours.

Experience India, Personally.

That is what I set out to create with Fairy Tale India.

Journeys

That go beyond the expected.

Experiences

That feel personal.

Memories

That last.
